Cooper Jasper

I just found out JJ Jasper's son, Cooper Jasper, was killed in a go-cart accident Friday night. He was only five years old. My heart goes out to the family. I can't imagine what they're going through. The only comfort is knowing that he is in heaven.

The Fall Guy

My nephew Cade and I are hooked on watching old episodes of The Fall Guy. It has everything you could ask for--two hunks, a cool truck and lots of action. Lee Majors and "Howie" (don't know his real name) are so hot! Colt Seavers is one cool cat. I bet Cade and I have watched at least ten different episodes together. They are so much fun to watch. Remember the theme song?

Well, I'm not the kind to kiss and tell,
But I've been seen with Farrah.
I'm never seen with anything less than a nine, so fine.
I've been on fire with Sally Field, Gone fast with a girl named Bo,
But somehow they just don't end up as mine.

It's a death defyin' life I lead, I take my chances.
I die for a livin' in the movies and TV.
But the hardest thing I ever do Is watch my leadin' ladies
Kiss some other guy while I'm bandagin' my knee.

I might fall from a tall building, I might roll a brand new car.
'Cause I'm the unknown stuntman that made Redford such a star.

I never spend much time in school But I taught ladies plenty.
It's true I hire my body out for pay, Hey Hey.
I've gotten burned over Cheryl Tiegs, Blown up for Raquel Welch.
But when I end up in the hay it's only hay, Hey Hey.

I might jump an open drawbridge, Or Tarzan from a vine.
'Cause I'm the unknown stuntman that makes Eastwood look so fine.

Good-Bye to the Gloved One

Wow. I can't believe Michael Jackson is gone. Only fifty years old--so sad. I still have my Thriller album in my closet. I would get it out and listen to it but it would be too sad. I have heard lots of mean things said about MJ even after his death, but mostly by people who are younger and did not grow up with his music and videos. They've only seen the "later" Michael, the "Wacko Jacko" of the media. I wish they could've known the thrill and awe that people felt (including me) when he danced and sang. His videos were so cool for their time. So, no matter what everyone else is saying, to me he seemed very soft spoken, timid and kind. I feel like a part of history is no longer with us and that he is leaving a void that can never be filled.

It's Raining Men

Ok. Something strange is going on. My longtime (ex) boyfriend finally decides he is ready to marry me and start a family. Great...BUT...I have met someone new while we were broken up. Why were we broken up? BECAUSE he wasn't sure if he EVER wanted to get married. Grrrr!!!
So now I'm developing feelings for this "new" guy and I'm not sure what to do. THEN I just get an e-mail from an "old flame" is what I'd guess I'd call him. He says he's been thinking about me and wanted to say hi and ended the e-mail with "love ....". Wow. Something weird is definitely going on.

Just Call Me Tiger

Yesterday I went shopping and bought some new clothes.
Gotta love the Maxx! I also went to the driving range with
one of my friends. We had a great time and I'm happy to say
I even hit the ball over a 100 yards a few times which made
me very happy. Just call me Tiger. Grrrrrrr...

Land of the Lost

I just found out Land of the Lost is out at the movies.
I remember watching it as a little girl and being scared
of the Sleestaks. I watched on old episode of it today and
it was so hilarious. Gotta love those "special effects"!
So here's to a show I had completely forgotten existed.

Saying Good-Bye

Today I'm just kinda in a blah mood. I have ended a relationship and truly miss talking to my "significant other". It's always hard to say good-bye to someone you care about. But we've had six or seven years to make it work and we're still disagreeing about the same stuff. So--good-bye to my old flame and best friend. I will miss him and the times we had together. I wish it could've worked out. I truly did love him and I wish him well.

I Miss You Dad

Tonight I am so down. I can't stop thinking of my dad. He died of skin cancer in February. I never dreamed I could endure this kind of pain. All I can do is cry out to God to get me through this. I miss you Dad. I miss you so much. I love you and will see you soon.

Mickey and the Motorcars

Today's post will be short because I'm tired and I have to get up
early and teach. I went out Saturday night and saw a band I've never
heard of--Mickey and the Motorcars. I really liked their music. Kind of
a cross between country and southern rock. I may have to buy a CD.
Later!

Dierks Bentley

Schools out for the summer. Yeah! Well at least for most people. I start with my summer teaching job Monday. I think it'll be a lot more fun than public schools.
Today's little tidbit is...I heart DB. That means I really like Dierks Bentley. He is a great singer and guitarrist and he writes most of his songs. He's just an all around great musician. Straight or curly hair--doesn't matter to me--I heart him either way. :)

PS The first pictures were taken by yours truly.

Robert Frost

Busy day today. Only one day of school left. Yeah!!!
Got to go have a FREE facial done. It was wonderfuuuul.
So relaxing. I definitely need to take better care of my
skin. :)

One thing about me today....I like the poetry of Robert Frost.
Here's one of my favorites. Beautiful imagery.

Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

My First Post

My first post. So exciting. Looking forward to posting cool
pics etc. Guess I will say a little about myself in each post.

First thing....I like pictures of the moon/woods/nature etc.

Loved this pic when I saw it.
